Living in Powell River

If you live out of town, we have a homestay program here in Powell River.

For the five-month program, you will be billeted for $750 per month (room and board) in the home of a local family, close to where the school is. All families are registered and bonded. You will have your own private room with 3 meals a day provided.

The five-month school program runs from Monday to Thursday, from 9:30 am to 3;15 pm. If you’re close to Powell River, you can visit home from Thursday evening till Sunday and be back for Monday.

If not, Powell River offers beautiful areas for hiking, fishing, indoor and out door activities, parks, water sport, boating and swimming. You’ll also find a good library, tennis courts, jogging track, a full-amenities swimming pool and gym, bowling, golf, and so much more.
